A Sticker to Reduce Global Warming
In order to raise awareness of global warming and the environment, SOSrainforest.com, an organization that lobbies for rainforest preservation, has created an original sticker. Developed by the Zoopropaganda Basila society, this sticker is destined to be sent to schools and corporations. It is meant to be put over light switches, as shown in the photo below.
On this sticker, you can read "would you like to conserve energy and participate in diminishing the effects of global warming?". Thus, by flipping the switch on, you answer "no" to the question. It goes without saying that you answer "yes" by turning it off. It’s a simple method of urging people to conserve energy and join the fight against the destruction of the planet.
Simple and efficient, this ambient marketing campaign has augmented traffic on the site by 8% and has helped to conserve energy. Also, 150 different blogs have promoted the campaign. This is of course not on the level of Yann Arthus’s Home, but it definitely should make an impact. Small ideas can be as powerful as big ones...
