Adidas Brings Star Wars to the Streets

A passel of hot faces throw their weight behind this video pushing Adidas’ Star Wars line of kicks. Keep your eyes peeled over the course of :59, amid what appears to be a broomball/breakdancing Jedi battle, and you might catch a glimpse of Daft Punk, DJ Neil Armstrong, Calle 13, David Beckham and Snoop Dogg.

The suite of shoes are named for muses from Episodes 4, 5 and 6: Storm Trooper, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Millennium Falcon, etc. You can also get themed tees and sweatshirts.

It does something special to me to hear the Star Wars score blast out across a dark damp urban landscape. It’s a gimmick, but an epic gimmick, you know?

...And what would such a one be without a flashmob? (*requisite eye-roll*) This particular one unfolds in Taiwan:

If this is the type of effort that groupies you up, add yourself to the Facebook fan page and give agency Sid Lee some user stats to cream itself over.
