Chanel: More.Madame By Madame Figaro
Luxury brands are using the Web more and more for communication. A nice example is the new website by Chanel, more.madame.lefigaro.fr. This digital special edition offers playful new experiences that change on a weekly basis. The site looks to "explore the most creative facets of the Web". The first episode is already available, the next one will be released tomorrow.
This is high quality branded content, even if the brand name is not mentioned anywhere on the website.
Also, this is not Chanel’s first Web marketing operation. In 2007, the luxury brand had opted for a full international campaign to introduce their new face, Keira Knightley. In cooperation with the Vanksen agency, they created a street marketing campaign that included interactive window display videos...
...as well as a steadicam visit of Coco Chanel’s apartment on the dedicated website coco-mademoiselle.com and a PR 2.0 campaign with influential BuzzParadise bloggers from 10 different countries.
