Coca-Cola: A Velcro Billboard

Posted on June 30, 2009

Just when you think that you’ve seen everything, you’re bound to come across something extraordinary that confirms that there will always be room for creative ideas...

Coca-Cola is releasing a new bottle that is designed for one to be able to have a firmer grip on it. The challenge is: how does one communicate a design change that optimizes the consumer experience? The answer is simple: by making the customers live the experience...

Coca-Cola has placed billboards covered in velcro at bus stops. The people that pressed up against them without noticing it at first were definitely surprised upon realizing that the velcro was attached. The target audience seems to have accepted the campaign as humorous. A great example of a creative billboard that is not so easily forgotten.

The video looks to unfortunately have been removed!

Thank you for noticing that, Michael! We have replaced the video. The soundtrack of the other one was much more fun though...

I wish that video was still available! I have only still photos on my site—not sure how people will actually react to getting stuck to a billboard. I would think they’d be more upset than wanting to buy Coke products.
