Duracell Goes For Ambient Lighting
How can a flashlight replace headlights on a bus, or even light up a street? This is the ambient marketing concept that Duracell has decided to play off of to show the power of its batteries.
After its alternative marketing campaign in which Duracell substituted batteries for other energy sources (see pictures in this French article), the brand is once again using the city to communicate. This new campaign for Duracell Ambient Lights may seem innovative to some, but redundant to others.

Duracell is attempting to attract attention by presenting themselves as an ecologically friendly company. In a city like Dubai, where the use of lights is in no way moderated, this kind of campaign could have a real effect. The company has always based their advertisements on the lifespan of their batteries. We can all recall the classic commercials starring bunnies (marathons, rock climbing, racing, and football), which are actually still in rotation today!
The concept will surely create buzz across the Web!
