ESCP EUROPE: "The ESCP EUROPE human experience"

Posted on December 3, 2009

On April 9 2009, to celebrate their 190th anniversary, the ESC-EAP European School of Management decided to change its name to ESCP Europe. For this occasion ESCP Europe and Vanksen agency collaborated to create a 1 minute and 20 second video to underline the school’s positioning and its modern, human, and competitive values.

Over 300 students from the ESCP Europe business school rallied to share their school’s values and state of mind in a fun and unexpected way. They had no need for words to accomplish this, the students used stop motion to suck us into their decidedly very human universe.

It was very important to ESCP Europe to engage its students by placing them in the middle of the project, from the concept to its realization. They are the true ambassadors of their school. By not being afraid to attempt a new way of communicating, the school stands out as a pioneer in terms of advertising.

A significant amount of material was necessary for the video shoot: a tailor made musical track, 316 extras, 658 t-shirts, 9m2 of foam board, 4,198 photos taken, and 125 meters of gaffer tape to place 3,654 marks.

On Tuesday December 2 2009, the ESCP Europe business school uploaded their viral video online to all the important video sharing platforms: YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion... A sponsored post campaign with BuzzParadise is in the works to viralize the video in the blogosphere.

Nice video, still I’m not really sure what message they were trying to promote with this, ESCP stands for creativity or something like that? Still 1819, they have been around for a while!
