FlashForward: The New Star Series
We already opened up about out total addiction to the show Mad Men, with those ambitious advertisers. These heroes of the advertising world in the 60’s had made us stick to one show, that is until the arrival of the new American show FlashForward.
Broadcast last Thursday in the US on ABC, the series pilot did very well with 12.4 million viewers. Why so much gusto?
It’s simple, FlashForward has elements from C.S.I., Heroes, Jericho and Lost. Savor these ingredients as the world finds itself in utter chaos after a general black out, a 2 minutes and 17 seconds collective loss of consciousness. A long 2 minutes and 17 seconds, as everyone is cast 6 months later, the 29th of April 2010 in the future... or lack thereof.
In any case, the pilot fulfilled its mission: it makes us want to see the next one! As there is no success today without buzz, ABC is offering a digital experience on the same high level as the show. On the flashforwardexperience.com website, the Internet user is plunged into the show through a Facebook Connect application that allows it to retrieve information from the user’s Facebook profile.
The site then retraces the user’s profile in FlashForward mode, which reminds us of the clothing company Morgan’s latest online campaign. Type in your Facebook login, and discover a very well done Flash animation with your own FlashForward scenario. Test out your online loss of consciousness, the experience is worth it!
