"Get a Mac" - Mac and PC Are Back
Look out! The "Get a Mac" commercial series is back! And the least we could do is say that Mac is in tip top shape with not one, but three new commercials!
You might ask yourself if it’s really necessary to recap the idea behind these commercials seeing as how the commercials are already so popular on the Internet and since we’ve already talked about them here, here and here. Well, to sum things up, a young guy in casual attire represents Mac while an older "nerd" represents PC. In each spot, Mac wipes the floor with PC (if PC doesn’t do it himself). The three new additions follow in the footsteps of their predecessors. Just take a look:
Here, PC pretends to be a pizza so that he can attract an important part of the market: students.
The message is always simple but undeniably effective. In each version, Mac plays on its competitive advantages over PC and breaks these advantages down one by one. A prime example: PC is left with nothing but his title as "king" in facing his adversary Mac. PC is made to look ridiculous, with only his sales positioning defense...yet another victory for Mr. Mac!
Below you can find another two commercials along the same lines which put the final nail in the coffin...Mac fans would approve!
This series of commercials is very well done! Mac has found a gold mine and is able to promote itself in a humorous way, much to PC’s dismay. PC still hasn’t figured out how to fight back...
All these videos and more are available on Mac’s official site.
