Google Video: real life live search (Germany)
Google and alternative marketing campaigns go together like peanut butter and jelly. After the user generated content competition for Gmail, the artistic viral video for Gmail Russia and the ads for GoogleMaps and Google Street Views, today it is time to present an inventive guerilla marketing campaign conducted by Google Video Germany in the German capital of Berlin.
The concept was to present Google video as a window on the world, a creative concept that was easy to put into practice. Open Google video search windows were set up in public places, in such a way that the scene you could see through the empty frame coincided exactly with the keywords that were visible in the search field. For example, the words above the frame placed in front of the Brandenburg Gate read “crowd of tourists”, and what you could see there was just that. It’s a bit awkward to explain but check out the video and it will become clear in a second.
Now we are wondering if Google Docs will also come up with something culture-buzz-worthy?
