Marketing as a service!

The idea of Marketing as a "service" is not new, it has nonetheless recently been attracting the attention of marketers where creative technologies are being increasingly used.

The core idea of this concept is that "Action speaks louder than words", providing services with added value are far more effective than speech alone. One of the most successful examples of this idea is the "Michelin Guide" which to some extent dates back to 1900 when it was created to encourage French drivers to drive and consume tires.

Nowadays, the development of technology (especially digital technology) makes it easier to turn creative ideas into real services. We have shown you a few examples of this previously such as "go running" clock by Nike, a very useful widget by UPS or originative handwritten online comments by SOL.no!

As a result, the relationship of marketing to technology is quite clearly shifting. Technologies that used to be solely creative tools for marketing campaigns (or mediums for delivering marketing campaigns) are now becoming the core of marketing itself.

Without a doubt, the creative application of technologies in marketing will become more and more widespread. We are curious to see what the evolution of this trend and its respective creative content will bring in the future...
