TicTac’s Impromptu Street Band
Tired of being warned, “don’t try this at home”? Well, TicTac has just come up with a street marketing initiative in Uzbekistan that you may just want to try at home, on the street, or with your garage band! Ever notice how much noise your TicTac cases make in your purse or pocket as you walk around town? Ever envisioned you could make musical instruments out of them? How about create an impromptu street band with them? For those of you not creative enough to think of it yourself, here is what it could look like:
I’m a really big fan of the TicTac drums and incredibly impressed that everyone managed to keep the rhythm! It’s been a while since I bought a pack of TicTacs, but this video has inspired me to pop some of that minty goodness into my mouth. Whether I’ll remember that the next time I’m at the store is a whole different question, though. But, for the moment, mission accomplished, TicTac.
I’m a fan of street marketing initiatives that unite people, get them involved, and let them live a unique experience. This TicTac street band effort does just that! It also reminds me of the Flossie.com Man Vending Machine we wrote about a few months ago. Flossie.com put up a man vending machine, offering real men in 6 flavors (foreign, romantic, rich, action, classic, perfect). It not only collected girls around it, but got them dates, too. Talk about a unique experience!
