A new campaign for road safety (France)
When launching a prevention campaign for road safety, advertisers usually resort to all possible means in order to catch our attention. The latest campaign is no exception to the rule.
This time the French organisation for road safety has decided to communicate about the dangers to drivers of two-wheelers. Again, the campaign relies on realistic images and shocking text: “You just jump a little red light. You just drive a little bit too fast. You tailgate just a little bit. — You are just a little bit dead.”
Of course it is convenient to think that it is always the others, especially car drivers, who are the dangerous ones on the road, and that really you don’t risk anything if you watch out and drive carefully. But beware of thinking along the lines of “well, I might just once…”
The campaign is released at a time at which so-called Vélibs, public rental bikes, are becoming a more and more frequent sight in the French capital. The first fatal accident involving a Vélib occurred only a few days ago.
