Billboards come alive (Canada)
In Toronto, snow is nothing unusual in winter. Fido, a Canadian internet provider, has decided to celebrate this year’s Christmas season and to promote its system of wireless video call, using unusual, moving billboards.
The interaction between the two billboards creates a lot more attention and underlines the brand’s advertising message. We can be quite sure that we will soon be seeing more of this kind of billboards from other advertisers as well.
Explains Gary Watson, one of the creative directors at Bos Toronto: "Normally the time passers-by see a billboard is 3 seconds. But if you opt for something completely different like these animated billboards which interact with each other, then pedestrians can experience something new.”
