Brawndo, the thirst mutilator!

 

Here comes an advertisement for Brawndo, a new energy drink launched on the market in the middle of December last year.


Those who have seen the film Idiocracy should already be familiar with the name. The subversive film came to cinemas in the USA in 2005 and is a scathing satire on the Western world, and especially the United States.

In this film, water has been replaced by the soft drink Brawndo and even fields are watered with the energy drink!

The message of the film is to show how brutish and aggressive consumers have become and is conveyed by using a very absurd and particular kind of humor, as well as the incorporation of self derision.

As a good means of standing out from the abundance of energy drinks, this ad is… well, different, and it needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
