Burger King: The Return Of The Angry Whopper
That is the question being asked by the Canadian agency Taxi, which just completed their first campaign for Burger King. The hamburger giant that gets regularly noticed for its Crispin campaigns has now trusted this award-winning agency.
Using TV spots, radio spots, and Web banners that redirect to the sorslemechant website, this 360° campaign’s objective is to unleash the rage in hungry men...
When you arrive on the site, after a somewhat long loading up, you are asked to turn the volume all the way up, to plug in your webcam and to howl into the microphone as loud as possible to prove how hungry and deserving of a sandwich you are. If you don’t have a webcam then watch out, the Angry Whopper will get mad!
It is an amusing experience that will reach the intended targets, men between the ages of 18 and 34 with a bear’s appetite.
This campaign works very well within a communication strategy that always seeks to get closer to its consumers. This is following the "Whopper Sacrifice" campaign on Facebook that was very fun and showed the fanaticism around the Whopper.
