Coca-Cola Happiness Factory and Heist

About two years ago, Coca-Cola brought us its first Coca-Cola Happiness Factory commercial. The theme of these commercials is to reenact what happens between the time when we push the Coca-Cola vending machine button and when the bottle drops to the bottom of the vending machine for us to pick it up. In November, we brought you the Coca-Cola hidden recipe commercial (read article here). At that time we were really impressed with the animation and liked the cute hidden recipe concept. Now Coca-Cola has just created two new animated commercials, proving that it is planning on sticking with the concept for a while.

In case you missed the first Happiness Factory commercial:

Coca-Cola has just released its 3rd Happiness Factory video and, as often is the case with Coca-Cola advertising, it’s already creating buzz. What do you think of the “vending machine universe” concept for the Happiness Factory ads? It’s a big change from Coca-Cola’s marketing line of yesteryear, right?

Check out the new ad here:

Since good news never comes alone, you won’t be surprised to find out that Coca-Cola has recently released another animated ad: Coca-Cola Heist. Smell like Super Bowl time, anyone? This one, produced by Wieden + Kennedy, Portland, while a bit magical, doesn’t take place in the same Coca-Cola heaven as the Happiness Factory. I must admit, I like the lily pad transit and the butterfly coke bottle. See and decide for yourself:

Both of these new ads are “uppers,” though, which is precisely what consumers need right now that they getting bogged down by the economic meltdown.
