Do you dare to try the Kangourou card?

The French Finaref/La Redoute’s Kangourou shopping card is celebrating its 40th birthday. In 1968, Kangourou card was the first card in France to give women their shopping independence. The card has recently decided to give itself a makeover and to provide even better perks to its cardholders. Its intention is to make the card more appropriate to today’s French women’s needs. Kangourou card has sought the help of Vanksen/Culture-Buzz to help it communicate its new makeover and perks. The agency has created a creative campaign that incorporates the card’s new slogan: "Osez." ("Dare").

The idea behind the videos is to convince women to dare to try Kangourou card with Kangourou’s free 30 day trial. The videos do just that with humor:

In case you didn’t catch it, the first video humorously showed a bride returning her groom and telling his parents that their son wasn’t what she was looking for, but that the important thing was that she tried. In the second video, the young woman tries out several different fitness buffs and finally returns the two she doesn’t want, only to discover that the one she’s chosen has a back hair problem. Did you catch the last image, with the guy getting a waxing?

To better keep in line with new clients, La Redoute has taken this campaign to the web, where the shopping card company hopes to grab new customers. As you probably noticed in the viral videos, there is a website dedicated to the campaign: osez-kangourou. After watching the videos, visitors can take an online quiz to find out what kind of shopper they are (quiz in French). Visitors can also win €1,500, so if you can read French, why not dare to try?
