Guinness creates the world’s most expensive advert: 20M$
Again a huge success for Nicolai Fuglsig, who is also the creator of the “Balls" ad for Sony Bravia...:
... with this new ad for the Irish beer brand Guinness:
This spot was shot in a tiny Argentinean village. You can see all the habitants waiting for dominos to topple, creating a chain reaction leading up to a giant pint of Guinness and that way perfectly illustrating the slogan “Good Things Come to Those Who Wait".
For the creation of the spot, 10 000 dominos, 10 000 books, 400 tires, 57 mirrors, 50 refrigerators, 45 cupboards and 6 cars were used.
Domino experts from all over the world contributed to this veritable “domino day” right in the middle of nowhere.
The spot is the most expensive one in the history of Guinnes: estimated realisation costs add up to 20 million Euros.
A nice way of celebrating the brand’s 80th birthday…
Happy birthday Guinness!
