"Lacoste Red" Rolls Out The Red Carpet
In honor of the release of its "Lacoste Red!" collection, a youth oriented "mod" revival, Lacoste has created a website that presents the new collection in a very attractive way. Both a visual and audio experience (with latest French electro revelation, Yuksek, as a soundtrack...), the site is interactive and dynamic.
The intermediary videos on the site, shot from a very aerial perspective, give new meaning to the concept of print publicity. We thus discover the new collection in an entertaining manner, including through a "Guitar Hero" style game. This is nothing revolutionary, but it is well integrated and enjoyable.
Additionally, Lacoste has well integrated links that allow the user to find out which store the closest to them sells the product that he is looking at, all in a non-intrusive manner. Exportation of the content on the site has also been rendered very easy, so that it can be uploaded onto blogs and social networking sites. One can even send it by e-mail (which is a little old school...). It is interesting to see a site that really is stunning in its presentation and design, even though conceptually the campaign is quite classic.
