Lots of Buzz About Sony Bravia
Less than a week ago we showed you the latest advert for the range Bravia by Sony. Only a few days after having been launched online the spot has already sparked a huge controversy. Why? Because Fallon agency, which has produced the film "Play-Doh", has been accused of plagiarism by the two illustrators Kozyndan. On their blog they claim that the Sony advert is the animated version of a concept that they had presented to the animation company Passion Pictures for possible cooperation.

The image that supposedly has sparked the accusations is a panoramic view of a city in which lots of little coloured rabbits are hopping around. For the time being, Sony rejects and repudiates any accusations of plagiarism, claiming that their advert is an own original creation.
But these news are not the only ones that are circulating about the brand at the moment. A brand new Bravia advert has been launched online a few days ago.
This advert, just as colourful as the one with the rabbits, takes us to a far-flung place, at the feet of a pyramid. During the spot, numerous spools of thread tumble form the top of the pyramid, covering it with all sorts of colours. The clip reminds us of the very first Bravia spot, Ball. The first rumour circulating about this spot is that it has not been ordered by the Japanese brand at all. The spot has been produced by Y&R and is destined for the Middle East. The weird thing about this spot (or a very smart move by Sony) is that no information has been published about it on the web beforehand. No news on the brand’s website, no teaser on the video sharing platforms.
And then there is this one question: Why ever should rabbits not be allowed in the Middle East?
