Lush: Au Natural is Better
Lush, the British cosmetics store that markets all natural products, recently launched a provocative street marketing campaign in Berlin, Germany. The idea behind the whole operation was to convince passersby that product packaging is often excessive and that not only is it bad for the environment, but it’s also bad for the product itself.
The main idea: go back to au natural, without a fuss. This is what the brand stands for. And the message couldn’t be clearer:

It looks like these Lush employees enjoyed themselves on their day out. It’s a well-deserved change that let them get a breath of fresh air while they were handing out soap and beauty products to surprised passersby. But, I’m not sure that the campaign was best-suited to the German market, and I think the same would apply to the US. The company would get sued for indecent exposure in a heartbeat! What I do know is that the two guys in red, who probably had to drag themselves unwillingly out of bed to go to work that day, were sure glad they got up.

It’s an original idea, doesn’t cost much and is definitely high-impact!
