T-Mobile: A Synchronized Swimming Flash Mob
T-Mobile is the brand known for its flash mobs. After having given us the privilege of enjoying their flash mob dance in Liverpool Street Station in London back in January...
...and their T-Mobile Sing Along in Trafalgar Square in April...
... it has now become the time to change the seasons on this successful concept. T-Mobile has just launched a synchronized swimming flash mob video that was shot in an outdoor pool.
The brand continues to cleverly play on the slogan "Life’s For Sharing" by unexpectedly interrupting daily life in an extremely entertaining way, making onlookers smile and creating experiences that they’ll want to speak to their friends about.
Some have criticized T-Mobile for corrupting the original concept of the flash mob (people showing up at a certain place at a certain time to perform an agreed upon action that is unannounced to the public), while other have praised them for doing so. It is after all only by adapting and changing known concepts that new ones are created. T-Mobile seems to have placed all their bets on humor, good nature, and that fact that everyone appreciates a happy moment, especially in this harsh economic climate.
We’ll see if this video generates as much buzz as its predecessors... Reactions so far are much less enthusiastic. What do you think?
