Guerlain Celebrates its 180th Anniversary
"Glory is ephemeral, distinction lasts." Guerlain has always stressed excellence.
Guerlain celebrated its 180th anniversary on June 23rd with all the sophistication and spirit of a high-end luxury French company, in all its dynamism, a mix of traditional and modern. With the arrival of Thierry Wasser as Guerlain’s new in-house perfumer, Guerlain has just launched its Guerlain Homme men’s cologne.
For its special day, the company invited 8 bloggers to discover the world of Guerlain. This is telling of the importance Guerlain puts on its consumers, in particular, its consumers active on the web.

Guerlain and BuzzParadise (the agency in charge of blogger relations) organized a series of events including breakfast with Laurent Boillet (Guerlain CEO) at the Parise Meurice Hotel, followed by a tour of Guerlain on the Champs-Elysées. After the morning’s events, the bloggers were taken to the Rodin Museum, which Guerlain had rented out and decorated for this very special lunch. At lunch, the company debuted its new ad, “Guerlain, the animal sleeping inside you.”

These 8 bloggers certainly got to enjoy an unforgettable day. And Guerlain has seen that it must open up in order to stay with the times. It also saw that blogs, with their opinion leader writers, are the ideal media for Guerlain to guarantee itself some new footing in the market.
