Logitech Launches Their New SqueezeBox™ With Queen

This year, Logitech gives themselves a great push in their communication campaign based on a collaboration with the cult rock group Queen. The company offered their SqueezeBox™ users an advance copy of Queen’s new album, "Absolute Greatest", which contains exclusive content such as commentary by Brian May and Roger Taylor as well as exclusive photos. To strengthen the launch of their campaign, Logitech decided to create a buzz marketing campaign in cooperation with Vanksen.

"Considering the popularity of Queen and their songs, it was difficult to make a choice. We finally opted for ’We Will Rock You’, in combination with an original concept," explains David Pihen, the CEO of Vanksen Switzerland.

On the queen.logitech.com site, Internet users can participate in the "Together, We Will Rock You – The Absolute Longest Version" contest. The game is simple and fun: users are invited to cover the famous rhythm of the song (you all know the boom boom clap!) and create the longest version of "We Will Rock You" by video recording themselves.

All these videos will be submitted to a vote by Internet users (who can win the "Absolute Greatest" CD) and the best of them will be played on the home page of the website. Every week, the two videos that get the most votes will be declared the winners, and their creators will win a SqueezeBox™.

The campaign will end on January 31, 2010. Do not miss this opportunity to have some fun and pay homage to this legendary rock group. All the action takes place on queen.logitech.com!
